Hopefully we’ve all had a weekend that afforded us opportunities to have very hearty laughter, thought provoking conversations, really good food, family time and lots of time doing the things that we love. After all, , that’s weekends were made for. Now that we are in expectation of the work week beginning, it’s time to prep for purpose. Pause Netflix and close that Amazon browser for goodness sakes! Sunday evenings is a great time to become motivated and get rid of any distractions that might put a damper on us being extraordinarily productive this week. Do you have a list of things that you can accomplish this evening? No. Well, I’ve created a list of things for you to consider. Thank me later 🙂
- clean the fridge
- chop up the fuit
- meal prep
- put the wool sweaters away (I guess lol)
- pack up the items for the mission or shelters
- clean the junk drawer
- set an alarm to make that appointment in the morning
- decide which days this week will be for the gym and which will be home workouts
- pack your gym bag
- blog or journal about your weekend
- call the one you’ve been avoiding so that it doesn’t hang over your head all week, it won’t be as bad as you think
- iron for tomorrow or for the week if you’re feeling ambitious (I’m never that ambitious)
- make a list of things that you need to accomplish this week
- start your grocery list
- last but certainly not least; make prayer and meditation apart of every day
Being great takes preparation. What we don’t realize sometimes is that these littles things linger in our mental space and cause us to be distracted from our purpose. I am definitely checking some of theses things off of my list this evening because I know that I have extremely busy week ahead of me and I want to be proud of myself at its completion. Let’s not allow procrastination to rear its ugly head.
Being prepared in this sense doesn’t guarantee that distractions still won’t come our way but what it does guarantee is that we’ve done everything in our own power to establish a solid and firm footing. It will give us peace of mind that we can make the moves that our purpose is calling us to. Preparation is like a piece of weaponry that we can use against the war in our minds. It combats and destroys negative thoughts. Let’s be prepared. Let’s be purposeful. Choose peace! Your purpose requires that you are prepared.
You are walking in your calling and trusting God without borders. You’ve taken the limits off him and allowed him into every area of your life. Your prayer life is consistent, and you have discovered your true identity in Christ. A light bulb has come on and you finally realize why you were born and live every day like it is your last because you want to please your heavenly father.
The ups and downs and round the mountains and down the valleys that life is full of do not stop your hustle. In fact, you thrive on it because you believe that you are who God says you are and that nothing can stop you because you have confessed that you are nothing without HIM.
You can’t sleep at night but it’s not because demons are haunting you, it is because angels are being dispatched and you can’t take your eyes off the vision. You’ve written, and you’ve made it plain. Your dwellings are adorned with it and your doorways are anointed…you feel protected. Letting any ill spirit in your midst is unlikely because you protect what you’ve been given.
There are times when you fall short but we all do so you are always reminded that you are not condemned because you are saved. Things that use to tempt you no longer tempt you anymore because you resist it when it approaches you and it is tired of hearing you scream that you are more than a conqueror. That thing has been evicted and its power has been revoked.
Prayers coming from your lips do not cease because of the gratitude that you have in your heart. Worship comes easy. Comprehension of his word is like water, refreshing and plentiful.
It could happen. Just make a decision.
This is a question that I had to ask myself today after listening to a sermon online about the “Dysfunctions of Comfort”. I strive to be as humble as I can be and I’ve never viewed that as a bad thing, but have I used it as a cover up for my insecurities? I like to think of myself as a secure and confident person in 99% of areas in my life. I stay in my lane until I’ve learned the skill or knowledge necessary to swerve into another lane.
The question that was provoked by this sermon presents a challenge for me. As I am always striving to be better than I was yesterday, I will need to evaluate my moments of humility. I need to check my insecure, less confident inventory to gauge areas in need of growth and I need to break up some of my routines. It’s time to shake things up a little bit and be more adventurous. After all, failing a few times will only lead me to succeed.
I’ve never been much of a risk taker and it is very possible that this cautionary side of my personality may be connected to insecurities that I have not identified. From this day forward, I am going to journal more about opportunities and things that I have been so quick to turn down. I’m interested to see what patterns will come to light and how I can prepare myself for what happens after I say yes more often.
Now don’t get me wrong, my self-esteem hasn’t been negatively affected yet I’ve been pushed to challenge my thinking and decision making. Stay tuned. I will post an update for sure.
See the marvels of God. Pause and take a look at who he is and what he has done. He’s done great things and not just for you but think about what he has done for those that have become before you. Take a real good look around and remember where HE has brought you from.
Every thought should ignite thanksgiving. The fruit of our lips should sound like a chorus or like an orchestra. The beat of our heart should create a song, instrumental music that prophesies to generations to come.
We’ve been spared from so much so let us have great gratitude and humility to an awesome mighty God!! Every day of our lives ought to be filled with a longing for God and deep devotion. He is above all things. He is above politics, above pressure, above persecution and above pain. Our God is worthy of thoughtful thanksgiving. Selah.
Because of God’s perfect love that is void of fear we should not be afraid but be strong and of good courage. God is strong and he wants us to be strong. His love is like a never ending wedding ceremony. We can have high hopes and think big. Be sure to make room in our minds, spirits and soul for the increase that he has prepared for you. Pitch a tent large enough. You are going to bring back to life that which has been dead. You are on assignment to resuscitate and to bring life. The results of what is to come will make you forget about the humiliations of your youth. Rejection is a thing of the past. You will receive beauty for ashes. God delights in you because of your righteousness. Sing boisterous praises unto him for he alone is worthy. You are dressed in a suit of salvation. Saved from destruction and death. The lord will put you on display for the whole world to see what righteousness looks like. Go forth and be fearless!
Let laughter, rejoicing, praise, and dancing be present in your life daily. What are we celebrating? We are celebrating the new decree that has been spoken over your life. It’s a decree of favor, protection and liberation!
There will be people in high places that will not understand why they are blessing you or honoring you. Your enemies will set plans and plots against you and they will fall in their own traps. Their plans will turn around and bless you with opportunities. They will go as far as setting a date to carry out their plans and that will be the very day that they will fall to their own demise.
Although the things presented before you are daunting, this is not the time to lament or to mourn. This is the time to fast and pray and to get those around to join in with you as they will be partakers in your feast as well says the Lord! The fasting and praying takes the attention off of you and it places it on the one that will bring you out. This is also the time to intercede for those that are under attack as well. The position that you are in has placed power in your hands to stand in the gap for them and to decree on their behalf.
You will be called to speak in “high places”. This is not the time to be silent or to be concerned about what others think about you being sent to represent a population of people. You may not seem qualified to them. It may not be the norm for you to have this opportunity but this is how you will know that you are being sent by the divine. Use your elevation to help others.
The fasting and praying will release a new fortitude and courage in you that you’ve never had before. It will also send revelation and wisdom to your doorstep that will be necessary for your next move.
There are people that have forgotten what they were supposed to do for you but the holy spirit is bringing all things back to their remembrance and they will deliver on their words quickly.
This new decree has spoken all of these things over your life and it is so! Therefore let your faith be elongated. Let it be wider and broader than what you would naturally expect and past what you’ve been used to. The shortness of your faith has been cancelled from this point forward!
It is highly likely that the uncertainty that you are feeling is a familiar emotion. It’s possible that you passed the last test so smoothly by the grace of God that you forgot about the agonizing feelings when tests first present themselves. Here is what we need to do; quicken our spirits to go into our Rolodex of victories and recall the pursuit and the victory that we encountered in every past test. The truth is that we’ve never lost. The truth is that we’ve always come out on top. The truth is that prophecy has to be fulfilled and that we are in a place to be used to bring forth the truth about who God is. Every natural challenge is a spiritual conflict and every spiritual conflict comes with a word of divine direction. These are never challenges of easy or little consequence that will take minimal effort. Every ounce of determination that you have is required so that you don’t quit!
This is a time when every possible negative thought will try to consume your mind and to change your direction. The enemy will do everything that he can to try and talk you out of what you know you heard God say and who you know God to be. He will use people and circumstances to thwart God’s plan for your life. But the truth is that he can’t stop the plans so the best that he can do is to create the thought in your mind that he can. Ignore the lies, accusations and fears. Combat them with the word of God, prayer and worship.
Even if what you are going through seems impossible for you to overcome, have faith in God’s faithfulness not in yourself. Who do you say that he is? Who has he been to you? Depend on HIS strength and HIS direction. Pray about everything. Give thanks for everything! The truth about every test is that with God on our side, we can’t fail. We only win. Victory belongs to Jesus! Boldly declare today that you won’t quit and that the enemy can’t have your thoughts or your emotions. Boldly declare today that you will stand and see the salvation of the Lord! Put your faith to work beloved. #themasterpeiceproject
